WEGO stands for Warga Emas Go Online. Warga Emas in Bahasa Malaysia refers to senior citizens and WEGO aims to empower senior citizens to be digitally independent through mobile literacy education. We do this by curating modules that are made available to the public which list step-by-step know-hows when it comes to navigating daily activities using smartphones. We then work with youth champions to empower senior citizens within their community to have access to these modules for the multiplier effect. At the same time, we engage, build, and grow our own circles of senior citizens through this initiative.
